Guided onboarding

Guided onboarding that respects your Microsoft 365 environment

TimeOpera onboarding is designed to be clear, permission-conscious, and support-assisted. Your administrator connects Microsoft 365, validates the configured SharePoint site collection, and initializes TimeOpera through a guided setup flow.

Walkthrough

Onboarding

Watch this short walkthrough to see the step-by-step process of connecting and configuring TimeOpera in your Microsoft 365 environment.

Setup Journey

5 simple stages to a ready workspace

Clear step-by-step progress from installation to a fully initialized workspace.

01

Microsoft Marketplace

Add TimeOpera to Microsoft 365.

02

Connect M365

Review only the approvals TimeOpera needs.

03

Choose Workspace

Select & authorize the SharePoint site.

04

Initialize

TimeOpera checks readiness & prepares components.

Workspace Ready

Open the workspace & continue configuration.

Optional after core setup: Notification Mailbox • Microsoft Teams • TimeOpera Assistant
Step-by-step setup

Your administrator stays in control from start to finish

No separate onboarding portal to learn. Follow guided Workspace Setup inside TimeOpera with full visibility and verification at every stage.

Step 1 • Marketplace 01

Add from Microsoft Marketplace

Get TimeOpera through Microsoft Marketplace and add the application to your Microsoft 365 tenant. Once Microsoft completes installation, open TimeOpera in SharePoint to begin.

Admin Confidence: Uses existing M365 account — no separate TimeOpera password required.
Step 2 • Connection 02

Connect Microsoft 365

TimeOpera checks required Microsoft 365 connections. If approval is needed, administrator prompts guide you. Existing tenant approvals are recognized and reused automatically.

Admin Confidence: Verifies Microsoft approvals before marking connections as ready.
Step 3 • Workspace 03

Authorize SharePoint Workspace

Select the SharePoint site where TimeOpera business records will live. Run the copy-ready PowerShell script to explicitly authorize the workspace, then verify access.

Admin Confidence: SharePoint data access is strictly scoped to your selected TimeOpera workspace.
Step 4 • Initialization 04

Initialize TimeOpera

Select Initialize TimeOpera to complete workspace setup. TimeOpera runs automated health checks and prepares the required SharePoint lists, schemas, and views.

Admin Confidence: Automated readiness checks ensure setup never starts on an incomplete state.
Designed for administrator confidence

Clear approval boundaries. Clear ownership. Clear next steps.

TimeOpera avoids hiding setup behind a single opaque action. Administrators can see what is being connected, which workspace is being authorized, and when the application is actually ready.

ID

Microsoft-controlled sign-in

TimeOpera uses Microsoft Entra ID and your existing Microsoft 365 identities. Microsoft approval experiences remain part of the setup process.

SP

You choose the workspace

TimeOpera verifies the SharePoint workspace selected by your organization. It does not silently substitute another site during setup.

Verification before initialization

Required Microsoft 365 connections and selected-workspace access are checked before TimeOpera begins preparing the workspace.

365

Business records stay in M365

Core TimeOpera business records are stored in the configured TimeOpera SharePoint workspace. Limited operational metadata is retained only where needed to run and support the service.

Optional integrations

Add more when your organization is ready.

Core TimeOpera setup does not require every integration on day one. Administrators can return to Workspace Setup later to enable the Microsoft 365 experiences that fit their organization.

Optional

Notification Mailbox

Use an approved Microsoft 365 mailbox for TimeOpera workflow notifications. No mailbox password is stored in TimeOpera, and core TimeOpera remains usable while Microsoft 365 completes mailbox authorization.

Optional

Microsoft Teams

Configure the TimeOpera Teams experience when your organization wants users to access TimeOpera through Microsoft Teams on desktop, web, or mobile.

Optional

TimeOpera Assistant

Enable the read-only TimeOpera Assistant for eligible Microsoft 365 environments. It can help users find information, but it does not create, edit, approve, submit, invoice, or delete TimeOpera records.

Who does what

A clear division of responsibility

Your Microsoft 365 administrator approves the boundaries — TimeOpera performs the checks and prepares the workspace.

For SharePoint business data, TimeOpera is designed around the selected TimeOpera workspace rather than broad access to every SharePoint site.
